Serious Chronic Injury & Death

Wrongful Death Lawyer and Serious Injury Lawyer

When the injuries are profound, serious, and permanent, leaving you or a loved one crippled or killed, the stakes cannot be higher.

What can anyone say to you? The pain of loss is overwhelming. And the sense of betrayal you feel by whoever did this to your loved one or you are palpable.

And the worry. How will you support your family? Will things ever return to normal? How can you manage your life and your grief and worry?

It may be unpopular to say, that the first thing I must say is that no lawyer or lawsuit will ever put your life back where it was before the death or catastrophic injury.

That may sound silly, but I have seen people in these sorts of situations when they place all of their emotional energy into a claim or lawsuit and all of their hope for the future in their lawyer.

A lawyer cannot erase what happened. A lawsuit cannot make things the way they were.

But a good lawyer can let you know that there by your side when you need them.

In a well executed lawsuit can take away much of your worry and restore a semblance of a life worth living for you and your family.

The second uncomfortable thing I want you to understand is that injury lawyers can make a lot of money from your loss. They may offer you money out of their pocket (unethical, by the way). They may have the largest billboard or the most TV commercials, and you may think that you’ve hired a big shot.

But make sure that the lawyer you hire is there for you after you sign the papers. You don’t want a lawyer who seems caring and then forgets you and your case once the ink is dry on the Attorney-Client Agreement.

Make sure you hire a lawyer who has dedicated his legal career to helping injured people – not insurance defense lawyers who see you as a meal ticket, and not other lawyers who don’t have enough experience in injury law to fully protect your rights.

If you are reading this and you have suffered a profound loss, whether it is to yourself or a loved one, I want you to know that you can call me at any time and I would be happy to answer all of your questions whether you hire me or not.

That’s the same offer I make to everyone who’s injured: big case or little case. Being a personal injury lawyer is as much a calling for me as it is a profession. I like to help people, and I like helping people make good decisions with the benefit of my experience and skill.

If I can help you and your family in this trying time, please don’t hesitate to call me.

I am sorry for your loss, and I would welcome the opportunity to talk to you about how we may be able to begin to balance the scales and get your life back.  Thanks for reading.

"Hiring Scott was one of the best moves I have made in my life.   Scott is a down to earth person and attorney.  Scott is a 5 star first class act who really knows his stuff.   The Judge said his presentation was one of if not the best he had ever seen.   Take my advice, hire Scott. I’m sure you’ll be 200% satisfied.  I was."
